Well it's been over a year since I started on this LJ kick, and I guess I'm hooked now. I had some ideas about what I was expecting to do with it, but it has morphed into something a little different.
So here's what you get-- this is something of a showcase for my photography and photoshop work. It's occasionally an outlet for random rants on politics and social issues.
It's also a way for me to keep up with some friends and let them keep up with me if they want to...not that it's any too hard. And last but not least, it is *still* a personal journal where I may choose to spill my guts every now and then and perhaps offer a little Too Much Information to a hundred or more friends and random people. If that's a problem for anyone reading, well as the saying goes, it's MY journal, so please f**k off, thank you very much.
You want to add me? Go right ahead...I'm not overly sensitive about it. First and foremost is my photography, and there's not a lot of point in making pictures if nobody is looking at them. I want an audience...so volunteers are happily accepted. Content is for Mature Audiences Plus, so if I suspect you're underage I will reluctantly boot ya, but it's nothing personal.
I started out being kind of exclusive, but I've gotten fairly liberal about adding people back-- I may start weeding one of these days if I get overwhelmed by it all, but so far we're good to go. [edit: I am starting to get a bit swamped by my friends list and I don't use filters that much, so I am slowing down on adding people. Don't take it personal.] An overabundance of surveys and memes doesn't work for me, even though I have been known to succumb myself every now and then.
About me? Working stiff with a creative streak, practicing pervert, open-minded semi-intellectual with some lowbrow tastes. Calm, easygoing, a little reserved with occasional asocial tendencies but basically friendly and unpretentious. I tend to think of myself as a pretty ordinary guy who has led (and continues to lead) a pretty interesting life almost in spite of himself.
I've got a job, and a fairly stressful one at that, but other than acknowledging it, I prefer not to spend too much time writing about it. That forces me to turn my attention to other interesting things like sex, art, politics and life in general. My philosophy can be summed up by the idea that nobody's last dying words are ever "Damn! I wish I'd spent more time at work!"
If this is the first time that you've stopped in here, welcome! If you like what you see, feel free to stick around. If you don't, feel free to move on. I'll be fine, either way.
